My name is Cristina Nieves, artist behind Carnival Face and Body Painting.
I'm a 29 year old artist and college student currently working towards my BFA in Illustration. I’m also a cartoonist and illustrator living in Maryland. 

My work usually involves cartoons, character design and illustrations with expressive bold line style found in comics and 90's cartoon animation. However, I also enjoy working with traditional media as I create murals for schools and the community. I enjoy making humorous, playful and colorful designs for kids and adults a like to share. 

While I'm not working on commissions/client orders, you will find me teaching classes, working on art activities, and face painting in events for both children and adults to enjoy. In addition, I'm fluent in Spanish and English, and has worked with a lot of Spanish and minority communities as a translator and interpreter helping them feel comfortable in any event or activity.

I am approachable, friendly and love meeting new people.
